Course and Price – Japanese culture activity and workshops

Courses are basecally on weekdays, mostly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays.   If you wish to take any course on other days, please contact us. 

Please note that we are out of Tokyo from December 21 to January 7, and all courses are not available during those days.

 

  • Japanese traditional calligraphy “Shodo” and Tea Ceremony experience course (Course SHO) – ¥5,000 +VAT (8%)

Course explanation – If you are in Japan, you cannot miss Japanese cultural experience, as Japan has its long history, about 2,000 years!!  Shodo (Japanese traditional calligraphy) is an important part of Japanese culture.  Tea Ceremony (maccha green tea making) is also another important part of Japanese culture.  In this course, you get to experience both in one day.  You can learn some Japanese history related to Japanese culture as well!  You have no experience of Calligraphy?  Don’t worry!!  We will guide you through it!  At Tea ceremony experience, you get to try making maccha green tea casually, so just relax and have fun!  Enjoy its unique taste too!   At snack time, you can try the unique Japanese snacks as well as Japanese sweets!

Course explanation – This is the course who wants to make your original Japanese accessoreies and original Japanese souveniors.  You get to learn how to do Japanese traditional origami (paper craft) and turn it into accessories.   Once you know how to do, you can make your original accessories easily at home too!  Origami accessories are not just beautiful but also very fun to make.  Even though we use Japanese traditional paper “washi”, we coat it with vanish, so it strong enough to use them as accessories.  You will stand out with beautiful Japanese origami accessories!  Let’s enjoy making them with us!!

course explanation – Mizuhiki is beautiful Japanse traditional decorative strings.  These are said to bring luck to you and we often use Mizuhiki at wedding occasions or any other cerebration occasions.  In this course, you learn how to make this beautiful Mizuhiki from strings.  You can make your own lucky charm or make it into accessories too.  Once you know how to make it, you can make many by yourself using beautiful strings.
